World's First Interactive Comic Book Character

PRESS RELEASE

247 Comics Launch World's First Interactive Comic Book Character – powered by Rapport. EVERMIND Co-Creators Sean Chen & Daniel Wu partner with Rapport to Breathe Life into Beloved Comic Book Creation Ahead of New York Comic Con 2024.

Rapport, leaders in interactive character technology, and 247 Comics, a creator-led comic book publishing and content studio, are shattering the fourth wall with EVERMIND's Bobo, introducing the world's first fully interactive comic book character. Talk to Bobo here.

Digital Collectible and Interactive Character Launch

The collaboration centers around "Bobo," a beloved character from the EVERMIND series, co-created by Daniel Wu (Into the Badlands, West World) and Sean Chen (Iron Man, Wolverine). This partnership will bring Bobo to life in two exciting formats:

  1. In an industry-first, a fully interactive digital Bobo, powered by Rapport's groundbreaking technology, is already engaging fans in real-time conversations on 247 Comics' website.

  2. Complementing this revolutionary step, a limited-edition digital collectible artwork created with VeVe will launch this Saturday during Comic-Con.

VeVe, the premier mobile-first digital collectibles platform, will drop the exclusive EVERMIND digital collectibles. This limited edition AR-enabled, 3D digital collectible represents a significant advancement in how fans can collect and interact with comic book memorabilia.

This collaboration with VeVe provides fans with a cutting-edge collectible and positions EVERMIND at the forefront of the digital collectibles movement, bridging the gap between traditional comic book fandom and the emerging world of digital collecting.

Revolutionizing Fan Engagement

This landmark innovation transforms how fans connect with their favorite characters, marking a seismic shift in comic book engagement. For the first time, fans can have genuine, dynamic conversations with Bobo, exploring the EVERMIND universe in unprecedented depth. This groundbreaking approach creates a unique narrative experience for every fan, as the storytelling evolves with each interaction, blurring the lines between reader and character like never before in comic history.

“This collaboration represents a new frontier in fan interaction. By creating an intelligent, interactive version of Bobo, we're offering fans a deeply immersive experience beyond traditional storytelling.” Says Gregor Hofer, CEO and Co-Founder of Rapport. “This industry-first interactive character dissolves the fourth wall completely, inviting fans to step into the story in ways previously unimaginable.”

Daniel Wu, co-creator of EVERMIND, whose comic character becomes unexpectedly intertwined with the Bobo character, added, “When Sean Chen, the team at 247 Comics, and I set out on this journey, our main focus was making the best comic we could, period. Now, seeing the characters jump off the page and come to life through partnerships with Rapport and VeVe—it’s honestly a dream come true!”

David Yu, co-founder and co-CEO of VeVe, comments, “We’re excited to continue our partnership with Evermind and 247 Comics, bringing Bobo to life as a digital collectible for fans everywhere. Sean Chen and Daniel Wu have crafted an incredible character, and our ongoing collaboration allows us to offer new and innovative ways for fans to engage with their favorite stories. This is not the first time we’ve worked together, and it certainly won’t be the last—fans can expect even more exciting drops as we continue to push the boundaries of digital collectibles and comic storytelling.”

Limited editions of Evermind #1 dropped on VeVe in May and Evermind #2 and Bobo will drop during New York Comic-Con with variant covers and collectibles.

This partnership represents a revolutionary first step into a new frontier of comic book content adaptation and consumption. By opening up unparalleled opportunities for character development and story expansion, Rapport and 247 Comics are setting a new standard for fan engagement.
