The Power of Animated Conversation is in Your Hands

Rapport self-service is LIVE! It’s now easier than ever to build rapport, with Rapport!

It’s alive! As of today, you can sign up for free access to the Rapport self-service platform, where you can effortlessly craft conversational experiences with Virtual Interactive Personalities (VIPs).

There’s an explosion in the interactive avatar space, but whereas most providers are only at the prototyping stage or offer expensive and inflexible solutions that take months to deliver, Rapport is an easily accessible platform that places the power to create VIP experiences in your hands. It’s free to develop VIP experiences in Rapport’s Explorer tier. When it's time to go to market at scale, the Creator tier is available on a low-cost price-per-minute model. All the while, Rapport’s superior animation system breaks down barriers between you and your audience by accelerating the sense of social presence and connection.

Rapport is the only platform that gives you the freedom to mix and match all of the components necessary to create, animate, and deploy interactive characters with emotional intelligence, in any language, on any platform. Our clients are using Rapport in many sectors: training simulations, education, healthcare, recruitment, entertainment, and many more.

Brains

Knowledge is power

The topics your VIP can talk about, and how they talk about them, will of course play an enormous role in the experience you deploy.

Rapport has existing integrations with a wide range of dialogue solutions, including Generative AI Large Language Models (LLMs) such as ChatGPT and Google Gemini; or for those that need more control over the flow of the conversation and the words used - branching systems like LexBot. You can even add a layer of Rapport to your existing chatbot.

We used Google Gemini in our recent demo for DJ Jazzy Jeff, you can find out more about that project here, and you can try out our ChatGPT demo here.

Appearance

Looks aren’t everything, but presentation is important

In addition to a growing library of custom characters for you to use freely, Rapport provides the option to create your own characters through an integration with Ready Player Me, and also offers support for MetaHumans

So whether you’re looking to create realistic training simulations or bring non-human cartoon mascots to life, Rapport can handle it. Our partner Prof Jim uses Rapport to bring historical figures to life, creating engaging online lessons. Learn more about their work here.

Voices

Mind your language, control your tone

With a plethora of text-to-speech (TTS) providers already integrated with Rapport, you are sure to find the synthetic voice that works for your VIP. Or if you can’t, you can use your own voice - either as pre-recorded elements in a branching dialogue solution, or as a clone from partners like ElevenLabs. Check out the video below for some example voices.

Animation

Move to move me

At the heart of Rapport, is Speech Graphics’ multi-award-winning audio-driven facial animation technology. Used in high-profile video games such as Hogwarts Legacy and The Last of Us Part 2, information in the voice is used to automate accurate lip-sync and emotional expressions, to maximize player immersion. Based on an anatomically correct model of the vocal tract and other muscles involved in speech, your VIPs facial movements will accelerate the suspension of disbelief, enabling deeper and more immediate connections with your audiences, and better outcomes all around.

Listening skills

Two ears, one mouth. Listening to understand

Similarly to TTS providers, Rapport offers the use of a range of Automatic Speech Recognition providers for accurate speech-to-text (STT), so that your VIP can understand what users are saying, in any language. Furthermore, Rapport is multimodal, which means that users can switch between talking and typing to participate in the conversation. Tapping on dialogue options is another method you could build into the experience. In the video below, you can see an example of a multi-lingual Virtual Interactive Personality created for KDDI.

Rapport can interpret emotion in the human participant’s voice, to discern context and inform more appropriate responses. This emotional intelligence, carried through as part of the underlying Speech Graphics engine, is a key differentiator.

Environments & Deployment Options

Spaces and places

Rapport gives you the freedom to house your VIP in a chat window, or let them run free on the pages of your website. Embed them in an app, drive experiences in game engines like Unity, or place them in an Unreal scene.

Our cloud infrastructure, based on AWS, means that your VIP interactions will run as fast as they can, any time, any place, anywhere. Audio synchronizes with animation flawlessly, further enhancing the natural social presence demonstrated by your VIP. Try out our Gold Medalist e-commerce demo, for an example of a character deployed on a webpage.

The Gold Medalist will talk you through the customization stage of buying a new pair of sneakers.

Rapport

Greater than the sum of its parts

All of the above components can be combined and configured to optimize your VIP experience. Rapport is the glue, the connective tissue, the music between the notes. The magical “je nais se quois” that will save you vast sums of money in standing up, experimenting with, and perfecting your VIP experience. It can help you optimise immersive learning, interactive marketing, and other scenarios where conversational UI can move the needle like no other medium.

Pricing

Elastic for the masses

Truman’s triangle posits that only two of the three key measures of competitive advantage (price, speed, quality) can be achieved at any given time.

Rapport marks one of those rare occasions where the triangle is broken, and all three differentiators apply simultaneously. As well as boasting the highest quality lip sync with zero AV latency and offering the shortest time-to-market from idea to deployment, we believe Rapport presents the lowest cost option to create, animate, and deploy interactive characters.

Beyond the free ‘Explorer’ tier, VIP experiences authored using the platform on the ‘Creator’ tier will be priced at just $0.21c per minute, discounted to just $0.08c per minute for the first three months. So, for example, if you deploy a VIP to answer questions about your product range, and the conversation lasts 5 minutes, it will cost you just $0.40c initially, rising to only $1.05c after the introductory promotion is over.

There are other ways to engage too. Our ‘Custom’ tier caters for organizations looking to leverage further economies of scale.
